Pressure Cooker Beta Test

Pressure Cooker is a new scenario I am working on that utilizes my Marine Corps 2.0 mod for the game. In order to play this scenario, you will have to have previously installed the mod. The beta test scenario folder contains three files which will need to be placed in their respective game folders (map files go in the map folder and scenario files go in the scenario folder).

This scenario is setup on a cropped version of the Renkum map that is only 3 km X 3 km and the only crossing point is a ferry that is primed. There are no bridging units; however each side has an engineering unit available from the start that should assist in securing/denying the crossing depending on which side you decide to play as.

The Marines have a hard time of it in this scenario but it is quite possible to win, even a Decisive Victory (as indicated in one of the screen shots below). The Axis forces have the advantage in total units (16 to 11) and Total Combat Power (54.14 to 35) which makes playing them a bit easier, however the Marine Corps units can be played to a Decisive Victory using valid combat tactics.

The scenario is designed to be played on either side, although in beta testing I would appreciate some input on how the AI functions in crossing the ferry regardless of what side you play as. Any constructive feedback is appreciated and can be left by making a comment directly in this post (at the bottom).

  2. Tim, to gain greater exposure for what we are doing I created a FAcebook page:

    https://www.facebook.com/pages/Command-Ops-Fan-Site/591858244201570

If you are on Facebook, I'd like to make you an admin for the page that way you can post all of this great content there. I will also post my Command Ops stuff. I am going to run a few ads targeting the matrix games fb page and the tactical wargames fb page to drive up page likes. My hope is that we will find 100-200 people we can collaborate with using this page.

Just like the page and I will make you an admin.

    1. I did both: so I un-liked the page and then re-liked. However I have no message from you on FB.

    2. Tim I think it has to do with your privacy settings. The message I sent went to your "Other folder" due to your settings. Not sure what that means. IF you friend me on FB here:

Or send me an email at caphillrat@gmail.com I should be able to add you as an admin.

    3. Tim you are now an admin. If you've never used a FB page before I can show you how to schedule a post or you can just take your blog posts as you add them and post them on the fb page also as a status update.

  4. I should note here that the Scenario Statistics screen shot above from the Scenario Editor does not tell the full story. The US Marine contingent in the scenario is 1,129 personnel at the start with an additional 283 in reinforcements for a total of 1,412. The German forces however have a much smaller force: they start with 679 personnel with an additional 114 in reinforcements for a total of 793.
